The information service of Georgian Channel 9 TV has stopped broadcasting. This was stated in the last newscast of the company which went out on Monday night.
The company's journalists have refused to work another 10 days until September 1, as was proposed by Georgia's PM Bidzina Ivanishvili. As from Tuesday morning, the company stopped broadcasting.
Recently, Ivanishvili stated that as a Prime Minister he cannot own a TV company on the eve of presidential elections and has to close it down and despite a lowered price, nobody wanted to buy it.
