Libya intends to appoint an ambassador to Georgia, the Foreign Affairs Minister of Georgia Maia Panjikidze said on Wednesday after a meeting with a delegation of Libya's Foreign Ministry.
This is the first visit of representatives of Libya's Foreign Ministry to Georgia, Foreign Affairs Ministry of Georgia told Trend.
"The Libyan side is interested in political cooperation with Georgia, as well as in the links in the fields of economy, culture and education. The Libyan side also expressed interest in the appointment of an ambassador to Georgia. I think that this visit will help to deepen our relations," Panjikidze said.
