Georgian Prime Minister intends to regain his citizenship of the county only through the courts. That was announced by Bidzina Ivanishvili at a meeting with media outlets on Wednesday.
"I would hope that everybody saw in the litigation what the former government was doing in order to avoid giving me Georgian citizenship," he stressed.
Ivanishvili considers that the court will take the right decision and he will be granted citizenship of the country.
The prime minister said he waits for Constitutional Amendments by Parliament that will allow dual nationality citizens to hold the posts of prime minister, president and speaker of parliament.
Ivanishvili was stripped of Georgian citizenship by the government of President Mikheil Saakashvili after obtaining French citizenship in 2011.
