2-day forum on Sustainable energy in the Caucasus is held in Tbilisi.
The goal of the event, in the framework of Eastern Partnership policy to unite cities of Europe and South Caucasus that signed the Covenant of Mayors, Tbilisi city hall reported on Thursday.
The aim of the agreement is to present regional and local authorities as key players and together with the central government to make effective use of available resources.
Representatives of central and local authorities, experts and international donor organizations participate in 2-day forum.
The Covenant of Mayors is a commitment made by 4,700 cities, which are home to 180 million citizens.
Tbilisi joined the Covenant of Mayors in 2010.
Forum was visited by the Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi Irakli Abesadze, who addressed the guests.
