Georgian former Foreign Minister, leader of "Georgia's Way" party Salome Zourabichvili has filed an appeal to the Tbilisi City Court on Sunday, which did not meet her claim against the Georgian CEC.

The court rejected the lawsuit in which Zourabiсhvili protested against the CEC decision. The CEC denied her registration as a Georgia's presidential candidate because of her dual citizenship.

CEC refers to the Constitution. A person with dual citizenship is banned to hold the presidential post. Zourabiсhvili and her lawyers believe that this regulation applies to the elected president, rather than a presidential candidate.

Today, Zourabiсhvili's appeal has been accepted by the city court chancellery, as the Court of Appeal's office does not work on weekend. On Monday, the appeal will be passed to the relevant body.

Zurabiсhvili expressed surprise that the Court of Appeal's office does not work on the weekend, calling this "strange."
