The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maia Panjikidze began her official visit to Geneva.
Panjikidze met with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay and UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Gutierrez, Foreign Ministry told Trend.
During the meetings, she raised the issue of installation of barbed wire along the line of occupation in Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region and informed the UN representatives on the human rights situation in the occupied regions.
In the European Office of the UN, Maia Panjikidze spoke about the reforms, implemented by Georgian government in the field of human rights.
Today, the foreign minister will speak at the 24th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
