Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze will pay an official visit to Switzerland on Thursday.
This will be the first visit of Panjikidze to Switzerland after opening the Georgian embassy in Bern, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.
Within the visit she will hold meetings with Switzerland's Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter and Chairman of the Council of States (upper chamber of the Swiss parliament) Filippo Lombardi.
Panjikidze will make a report to the Research and Analysis Centre SWISSPEACE and attend discussions on Georgia's domestic and foreign policy.
On September 13, the foreign ministers of the two countries will sign an agreement 'On simplification of visa issuing procedures between Georgia and Switzerland'.
