On Thursday the representatives of Georgian law enforcement bodies detained authors of false reports about explosive devices planted in buildings of Rustavi-2 and Imedi TV companies in Tbilisi.
According to Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs, it was found out that the calls were false. The investigation on the fact of a false report of terrorism (the first part of Article 331 of the Criminal Code of Georgia) is underway.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs did not disclose the identities of the detained persons.
The reports about explosive devices in the buildings of the central Georgian TV companies - Rustavi-2 and Imedi, were received by the 112 Emergency and Operative Response Center of Georgia's Interior Ministry on Thursday at intervals of several hours.
Sappers, cynologists and criminal police arrived at the site; all people were evacuated from the buildings.
