Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Alasania has discussed the ongoing recovery of the OSCE mission in Georgia with OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier.
A meeting was held in the framework of the official visit of delegation of Georgian Defense Ministry to Slovenia, Ministry of Defense of Georgia told Trend.
According to Alasaniya, permanent recovery of the OSCE mission is important not only for Georgia, but also for the whole region.
"This mission must be recovered considering with the territorial integrity of Georgia. Based on this, in the future plannig meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. Recovery of repsentation of international organization in Georgia such as the OSCE, will be a significant step in ensuring the security of the country " - Alasania .
The delegation of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia is present in Slovenia ministerial defense of South- Eastern Europe. Alasania formally asked the ministerial meeting with a request to bring Georgia to the organization.
Alasania met with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Evelyn Farkas on the sides of conference.
