Adjara is the most important region in terms of the country's unification, the presidential candidate from the Georgian Dream Party, George Margvelashvily said during his meeting with voters in Batumi on Monday.
He informed voters on his pre-election programme and spoke about future plans.
"Batumi has great opportunities and not only for those living there. Batumi and Adjara are the most important regions in terms of the country's unification. How the processes will develop here and to what extend there will be quiet and free environment and how well we will manage to establish partnership relations with my colleagues, all this will be a visiting card for our Abkhaz and Ossetian compatriots," the candidate said.
According to him, Batumi will be an example of how it is possible to unify Georgia.
"Georgia is a country where Georgians, Ossetians, Orthodox, Muslims and Jews live together. We are proud of it," Margvelashvily said.
