As of September 30, 2013 the foreign exchange reserves of the National Bank of Georgia amounted to $3.074 billion, preliminary statistics said.
The total foreign exchange reserves of the bank are $2.853 billion, including those placed in securities - $1,834 billion, in accounts of foreign banks and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) - 1.019 billion, the National Bank of Georgia told Trend on Tuesday.
The amount of funds placed in the Special Drawing Rights (SDR), is $221.4 million, while the bank's reserve position in the IMF is $15,300.
From early 2013, gold exchange reserves of the National Bank of Georgia have increased by $201.5 million.
