Georgia, Tbilisi, October 28/Trend, N. Kirtzkhalia/

The non-governmental organization "Fair Elections" stated that the election was held organized form and calm atmosphere.

The majority of violations revealed on election day were of procedural nature, the head of the organization Nino Lomjaria said at press-conference on Monday.

According to her, voting on an inappropriate document, as well as the presence of unauthorized persons are the shortcomings of the election process.

Lomjaria also said that voter turnout amounted to 46.9 percent. At the vast majority of polling stations (98.5 per cent), vote counting took place without incident, which is distinct from the parliamentary elections of 2012.

In 99.8 per cent of polling stations, materials to be sent to district election commissions were sealed in accordance with legal requirements. Representatives of "Georgian Dream" visited 81.8 per cent of the polling stations, while the representatives of the "United National Movement" were at 78.3 per cent of them.

Around 101 violations were recorded by observers of the "Fair Elections" organization, which is a small number considering the number of the poling stations in the country.

The results are as following: Giorgi Margvelashvili - 62.09 per cent; David Barkadze - 21.9 per cent; Nino Burjanadze - 10.06 per cent; Shalva Natelashvili - 2.88 per cent; Georgi Targamadze - 1.05 per cent; Koba Davitashvili - 0.58 per cent.
