Canadian Ambassador to Georgia, John Holmes and the embassy's Defense Attaché Colonel Christopher Kilford are visiting Tbilisi.

On Dec. 4 the Georgian Deputy Defense Minister Mikhail Darchiashvili met with Canadian diplomats.

The parties discussed prospects of Georgian-Canadian cooperation in the military sphere, according to Georgian Defense Ministry.

Mikhail Darchiashvili thanked the Canadian side for training Georgian soldiers at the Canadian military schools.

The meeting also discussed main priorities of Georgia's foreign policy and the situation in the region.

The ambassador once again confirmed support to Georgia's integration into the NATO.
