Movement of trailer and semi-trailer vehicles was prohibited due to intense snowfall at the Tbilisi section (Lochini)-Tsnori (21st - 119th kilometres) of Tbilisi-Bakurtsikhe-Lagodekhi highway.
Other types of motor vehicles are allowed to travel on this section of the highway, the Roads Department of Georgia told Trend on Dec. 12.
Movement of trailer and semi-trailer vehicles and buses with seats more than 30 was prohibited due to intense snowfall and icy conditions at the Vaziani-Telavi (the first - the 65th kilometres) section of the Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi highway.
Movement of other types of vehicles is allowed only when using snow chains. Vehicles with two or more axes of motion can freely travel on this section of the highway.
Similar restrictions have been applied in western Georgia.
