In accordance with a decision of the Economic Council under the Georgian Prime Minister, the construction of autobahns in the country will be accelerated.
"In 2014, the Agara - Zemo Osiauri, Samtredia-Grigoleti sites and Majindzhaur plot along the Kobuleti bypass road will be added to the three sites currently under construction," the government office told Trend on Dec.20.
The Council members also discussed the current processes.
It was earlier reported that economic growth was recorded in Oct.-Nov. 2013 and the turnover of enterprises paying VAT increased from 5.4 per cent to 14.4 per cent.
"It is a very important fact that the increase of economic growth a result of activity in the private sector, including construction. Imports of construction materials have increased," the government office said.
The situation in the oil and gas industries was also discussed at the Economic Council's meeting.
