Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili will pay an official visit to Turkey on Jan. 20, the presidential administration told Trend on Jan. 9.

Official meetings are planned in Ankara with Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly Cemil Cicek.

During the visit, the president will visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk and lay a wreath.

A joint press conference of the presidents of the two countries will be held in Ankara.

This is the second visit of the Georgian president abroad. He visited Brussels in November 2013.
