Movement of trailers and semi-trailers has been prohibited due to a heavy snowfall at the 135-156 km Chumateleti-Hunevi stretch of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze motorway. Other vehicles can freely travel on this section of the highway, the Roads Department of the Georgian Economy and Sustainable Development Ministry told Trend on Jan.14.

Due to ice at the Mleta-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars motorway, movement of vehicles with two or more drive axles is allowed whilst movement of other types of vehicles is allowed only when using snow chains.

Motor vehicles move on the Gudauri-Kobi section through avalanche protection tunnels with police patrols regulating the traffic.

There are no restrictions on movement on other roads of the country.
