Georgian Interior Minister Alexander Chikvaidze has left for an official visit to the UK. During the visit, the interior minister will meet with the leadership of the Home Affairs Office of the United Kingdom, Georgian Interior Ministry said on Jan.22.

The Georgian interior minister will also hold meetings at the Scotland Yard headquarters, according to the ministry.

Additionally, within Chikvaidze's meeting at the central office of the UK National Crime Agency, an agreement on bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the sphere of fighting against crime will be signed, the ministry said.

The Georgian interior minister's visit to UK will last till Jan.24.
