Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili made a statement on the events in Ukraine.
As the prime minister's press service reported on Jan.22, Garibashvili expressed deep regret for the victims in the clashes in the center of Kiev, and expressed hope that Ukraine will not tolerate violent developments.
"I follow the events in a friendly and partner country - Ukraine with great anxiety. We are very worried that the events on the streets of Kiev have resulted in casualties. I express my deep regret for this tragic fact. We condemn any violence and hope that the Ukrainian government and society as a whole will show the wisdom and will not allow violent developments. We believe that the Ukrainian friends will be able to solve through peaceful negotiations political issues inevitable for democratic development of the country," Georgian prime minister said in his statement.
