Estonian President Toomas Ilves will pay an official visit to Georgia in the near future.

This was agreed during a meeting between the Georgian prime minister and Estonian president in Davos, the press service of the head of the Georgian government told Trend on Jan.23.

The initiative to visit Georgia was put forward by Ilves. The Georgian side stated that an official invitation to Estonian president will be sent out soon.

During the meeting the parties discussed bilateral relations and prospects of Georgia's integration to NATO and the EU. Estonia is actively assisting Georgia in this issue.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili also met with his Finnish counterpart Jyrki Katainen. The parties discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and spoke about deepening these relations.

The Georgian prime minister thanked Finland for its strong support to Georgia's territorial integrity, its Euro-Atlantic and European aspirations, as well as for participation in the EU monitoring mission in Georgia.
