Cooperation between Georgian and NATO has been discussed in Brussels.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with the NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen in Brussels.
The parties emphasized the significance of bilateral cooperation and solid partnership relations of the alliance with Georgia during the meeting that was held at NATO headquarters, the press service of Georgian prime minister told Trend on Feb.5.
The parties discussed the progress made by Georgia it its paths towards the integration to NATO, the dynamic processes and reforms that were carried out in Georgia.
Rasmussen highlighted Georgia's contribution to the general process of Euro-Atlantic security and particularly, Georgia's great contribution to the ISAF mission in Afghanistan.
The Georgian side reiterated its readiness to participate in the training mission of NATO in Afghanistan.
Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze and the State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration Alexi Petriashvili also participated at the meeting.
