The ambassador of Georgia to Ethiopia participated in the assembly of the Executive Council of the African Union. The 24th summit and the 22nd assembly of the African Union took place in the capital of Ethiopia - Addis Ababa with the participation of the delegations of 34 African countries.
According to the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ambassador Vakhtang Jaoshvili informed the delegations of the African countries about the situation in Georgia, in particular, the democratic reforms conducted recently and the economic situation of the country. He also spoke about the situation in the occupied regions of Georgia.
It was agreed to start negotiations on cooperation between Georgia and a number of African countries.
The African Union includes 54 states of this continent.
