U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden and Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili have discussed issues of strategic cooperation during a meeting in Washington.
The sides also discussed prospects of Georgia's Euro-Atlantic prospects and the democratic reforms taking place in Georgia, Garibashvili told Georgian journalists after the meeting.
Garibashvili noted that he was highlighted to U.S. Vice President to intensify after the Olympic Games in Sochi, Russian military on arrangement of the so-called boundary line on the line of confrontation in South Ossetia.
Georgian Prime Minister thanked the U.S. for the condemnation action on arrangement of dividing lines and expressed hope that Washington's support will continue in the future.
Garibashvili also touched on the issue of European integration of Georgia and stressed that this process is as dynamic as ever.
At a meeting with Joseph Biden, Georgian Prime Minister expressed confidence that in 2014 Georgia will sign an association agreement with the EU and eventually enter NATO.
Garibashvili urged U.S. Vice-President to support Georgia's Euro-Atlantic aspirations in the future , which are important during the election period, the signing of an association agreement with the EU, the NATO summit.
The prime minister stressed that Georgia attaches great importance to the continuation of the Georgian- American negotiations in trade relations , investment and waiting for clearance Free Trade Agreement with the United States .
