A Georgian delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Giorgi Kvirikashvili paid its first working visit to the Netherlands.

As part of the visit the Georgian delegation gave Dutch businessmen detailed information about Georgia's investment potential, Georgian Economy Ministry told Trend on March 10.

The Georgian delegation held the first meeting at Amsterdam Royal Club. Georgian ambassador to the Netherlands Shota Gvineria also participated in the presentation of Georgia's investment potential.

Kvirikashvili also met with the Minister of Foreign Trade and Development of the Netherlands, Lillian Plume in The Hague. The parties discussed prospects for development of bilateral economic cooperation in the spheres such as agriculture, transport, industry and infrastructural development.

Georgian deputy prime minister also met with the Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Trade and Cooperation of the Dutch Parliament, Raymond de Roon. Members of the committee representing the various political parties participated in the meeting.

Georgian-Dutch cooperation on development of trade relations, and business opportunities in Georgia were discussed in the Georgian-Dutch forum entitled 'Doing Business in Georgia' in The Hague. The Georgian embassy in the Netherlands and the Netherlands Council for Trade Promotion were the organizers of this forum. Over 100 Dutch businessmen participated.

A business dinner took place at the end of the visit, to which members of the government, parliament and representatives of business circles of the Netherlands were invited. The leaders of major companies such as Philips, The Friesian, APM Terminals, VanDrie Group, Rabo Bank, Agrico, 2 Sisters Storteboom, Royal Haskoning, Witteveen Bos were among those invited.
