Tbilisi, Georgia, April 2

By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:

British Foreign Secretary William Hague will visit Georgia.

This statement was made on April 2 after a meeting between Hague and Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze in Brussels as part of the NATO ministerial meeting.

No date was announced for the visit.

Maia Panjikidze will deliver a speech at a meeting of the "NATO-Georgia" commission on April 2.

"I will focus on the situation in Georgia, the progress we have achieved for the past year and a half," she said. "The matter rests in an association agreement that Georgia will sign in the near future. This testifies to the country's implemented reforms. Moreover, the matter will rest in our contribution to the global security not only under the auspices of NATO, but the European Union."
