The transitional period has ended in Georgia and now, all the efforts are focused on the reforms and radical changes, Georgian Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri said while speaking at the second regional forum of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Tbilisi.

"As a result of the elections in 2012, a new government with great plans and great reforms came to power. We have overcome many difficulties and challenges over the year and a half. Georgia's real economic growth stood at 3.2 percent in 2013 and almost seven percent in the first four months of 2014. Thus, we can say that the transitional period in Georgia has ended and all the efforts are now focused on the reforms and radical changes," Khaduri said.

Georgia highly appreciates the cooperation with the Asian Development Bank in financing investment projects, as well as in sharing experience and consultative support, according to the country's finance minister.

"Georgia has come to an important stage. The association agreement will be signed with the EU in the near future. The cooperation with our Asian neighbors and friends and intensification of relationships with them is also of great importance. Georgia should use the enormous opportunities offered by the Asian market, "Khaduri said.
