The possibility of launching a new program of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)
in Georgia was discussed by the representatives of the government and the IMF mission.

During a meeting at the Georgian Finance Ministry, the sides discussed the preparation of a new IMF program for Georgia, the Georgian Finance Ministry told Trend on April 30.

The Georgian side expressed hope for the successful launching of the program implementation, which would be a signal to other donors and investors to intensify the activity in Georgia.

"The IMF support for the Georgian government's policy," Georgian Minister of Finance Nodar Khaduri said.

"The funds envisaged by the new program will be used for budgetary support and the reserves of the National Bank," he said.
