The Consulate of Georgia in Donetsk verified information spread by the Ukrainian media about abduction of Georgian citizen in Donetsk, Vasily Budik.
As Council Irakli Advadze told the Georgian journalists, the Consulate officer contacted Budik, who categorically denied his abduction.
"We learned about the abduction of Georgian citizen from information sources of the Consulate... But due to the fact that family members claim that he had not returned home yet, we continue to investigate the information," the diplomat said.
Recall that, the information about the abduction of the Georgian citizen was released by the Ukrainian UNIAN news agency.
