By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:

Some 77 percent of people who took part in the National Democratic Institute's (NDI) survey in Georgia support Georgia's accession to the EU, while 72 percent are for joining NATO.

Regarding the prospects of Georgia's accession to NATO, some 14 percent of survey participants believe this process will last another four years, 24 percent - said Georgia will be accepted to NATO after 2018, 21 percent - think it will never happen, while 40 percent of the survey participants were undecided.

However, six percent of the survey participants support Georgia's accession to the Eurasian Union.

Some 33 percent of survey participants believe that Georgia will benefit more from the European integration.

As for the relations with Russia, nine percent fully agree with the opinion that Georgia will gain more from normalizing relations with Russia rather than the European integration.

The survey was held between March 26 and April 18, and some 4,000 people were interviewed throughout Georgia.
