At present, the total number of voters in Georgia is 3,472,772 persons, however, this information is being revised.

As the spokesperson of the Central Election Commission of Georgia Eka Azarashvili said at the briefing, the commission completed processing of voters data.

"Based on the fact that the deadline for amending the lists of voters, determined by the legislation has not expired yet, these data are being clarified. From May 16, the election administration starts issuing information cards to voters," she said.

A month before the local elections in self-government bodies, to be held on June 15, voters will have the opportunity to validate their data - number in the single voters' list, place of registration and voting precinct, according to Azarashvili. The cards will be handed out by the members of the members of the precinct election commission.

The Central Election Commission addresses the voters, so that in case of inaccuracies in the cards they can write to the relevant precinct or the relevant precinct commission or corresponding branch of Public Service Development Agency , and if the voter did not receive an information card, then they should contact the CEC contact center by phone 2 51 00 51.

"The appealing date expires on May 29. The voter can also double-check data in the search engine on the CEC web site. This year, the voters first-ever vote will be based on the photographic lists; the search engine allows us the opportunity to double-check photos, too," Azarashvili said.

Citizens whose residence registration was cancelled, and the citizens of Georgia who are registered without an address will not be able to participate in elections, she said.

"Therefore, the CEC urges timely recheck data and until May 28 to apply to the service development agency," Azarashvili noted.
