Georgia and Slovenia will hold a round of bilateral political consultations at the level of deputy ministers in Tbilisi today, May 23.

The Slovenian delegation will be headed by State Secretary Igor Senchar. The Georgians will be represented by Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani, as well as Deputy Foreign Minister Tamar Beruchashvili, State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality Paata Zakareishvili and Prime Minister's Special Representative on the Russian-Georgian Relations Zurab Abashidze.

"This is the Slovenian delegation's first visit to Georgia over the past years," Zalkaliani said.

"Senchar's visit, which is taking place a few weeks before we sign an association agreement with the EU, demonstrates Slovenia's support for Georgia's European integration process." He added.
