Georgia will resume the supply of some products to Russia on May 26, the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture said.

"The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia said Georgia will resume the supply of the following regulated products of high phytosanitary risk to Russia from May 26, 2014: tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, eggplant, cherries, apricots, peaches, plums, persimmons, kiwi and berries," the ministry said.

Moreover, the supply of new potatoes will also be resumed, provided this product doesn't contain soil and is packed up in a consumer package.

The two sides plan to carry out joint pre-shipment control of regulated products, to monitor the place of formation of export consignments to be exported to Russia.
