Tengiz Pkhaladze has been appointed Georgian president's advisor for foreign relations.
President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili has signed a corresponding order for this.
Pkhaladze is the head of the International Centre for Geopolitical Studies, a member of the Atlantic Council and the British Royal Institute of International Relations.
He previously headed the diplomatic protocol service for the Georgian president, served as the president's representative in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region as well as headed the consular service in Azerbaijan.
Tengiz Pkhaladze will replace Vano Machavariani on his new position.
