The Secretary of the Georgian National Security Council, Irina Imerlishvili attended on July 14 the festivities in Paris dedicated to the 'Storming of the Bastille' and a parade in honor of the fallen in the WWI.

Georgian presidential administration said Imerlishvili is visiting Paris as the personal representative of the Georgian president.

The event was also attended by the Georgian Ambassador in France Ekaterine Siradze-Delaunay, the military attache and other embassy officials.

Honor guards from around 80 countries marched down the Champs Elysees in Paris caring national flags. The military technology and aviation were also presented at the event.

The parade was reviewed by the French President Francois Hollande, and afterwards an official dinner was organized for the heads of delegations on behalf of the French defence minister.

President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili congratulated his French counterpart on the country's national holiday, sending him a letter of congratulation.
