"For Strong, Democratic and Unified Georgia" at an extraordinary session of parliament held on July 26.

On the same day, a vote of confidence to the new government will be held. Seven new Ministers were appointed this week following a cabinet reshuffle where five previous ministers were appointed and two will led the other ministries.

As Garibashvili said the parliament session, the priorities of the new Georgian government remained unchanged.

Talking about the process of Georgia's integration into Europe, the PM noted that the Association Agreement with the EU is fully consistent with the socio-economic vision of the government.

"In the program we have thoroughly outlined every basic direction of Government policy. This is a document that clearly shows how we are planning to implement the policy which our people and our country needs this new, important stage of development," Garibashvili said.

He believes that by signing the Association Agreement with the European Union, Georgia had entered a new stage.

"This will be a very time consuming period which demands 24-hour work from each of us so that we are ready and prepared for every challenge," the Georgian PM said.

The establishment of strong and effective democratic institutions remains unchanged priorities of the government, Garibashvili noted

The Georgian PM said that the legislative base has been changed substantially, the governmental bodies are working in balance, the establishment of real self-government process has started, fundamental reforms are being carried out in the sphere of justice, multiparty political system established in the country, freedom of expression was ensured that is recognized by all.

The development of the institutions mainly based on liberal-democratic values is being continued, the process of ensuring the rights become irreversible, the work continues on the safety and strengthening of regional positions of the country, according to Garibashvili.

He said that government will continue to work to overcome unemployment and poverty. "Unprecedented development of small and medium-sized businesses and agriculture is being continued in this regard. Government will continue protection of private property and labour rights of the people," Garibashvili said.

The parliamentary majority has already supported the new program of the Georgian government on July 25. However, the minority stated that it will not support the new composition of the government.
