Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili observed the rehabilitation process of the ancient fortress Mutso.

"Mutso is an integral part of not only the culture of our country, but the whole world," Georgian Prime Minister told journalists in Khevsureti.

"Protecting the unique cultural heritage and preserving it for our descendants is our duty," he added.

"The duty of our generation is to save this unique city-fortress and deliver it to future generations," he added. "This city has been actually falling apart for 15 years. The operations will be launched this year to save the monuments which are in a critical situation. We invited the best specialists to save the monuments."

"Mutso rehabilitation will take three years," Garibashvili added.

"Mutso is a part of not only our culture, but the whole world culture," Garibashvili said. "There are several such places in the world. We will create a unique tourist destination by restoring Mutso within three years. There will be a new opportunity for the development of infrastructure."
