Unknown armed men destroyed a girl school in Logar province, 60 km south of the Afghan capital Kabul, a private television channel reported Monday.
"Unidentified armed men dynamited and destroyed a girl school in Logar's provincial capital Pul-e-Alam this morning," Tolo reported in its news bulletin, Xinhua reported.
It also reported that the armed men abducted a government employee Noor Mohammad from Baraki Barak district of Logar province a day earlier on Sunday.
No group or individuals have claimed responsibility for both the incidents.
Taliban fighters who banned school for girls during their six- year reign and were ousted in 2001 often target educational institutions, which have deprived more than 250,000 children from getting education, mostly in the militancy-hit southern region.
