Three Afghan civilians were killed and 11 injured Saturday when an explosive-filled car was detonated near a convoy of NATO troops in southern Afghanistan, a government spokesman said, dpa reported.
There were no casualties among the NATO troops, said Zalmai Afzali, a spokesman for the provincial governor.
The vehicle was remotely detonated when the convoy was passing by an area in the centre of Kandahar, the capital of the province of the same name, Afzali said.
All the casualties were local civilians, he added.
