A man believed to be a member of the Afghan police force killed two NATO soldiers in southern Afghanistan on Saturday, the military alliance said in a statement, DPA reported.
"An ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) service member returned fire, killing the attacker," it said. It gave no further details about the soldiers' nationalities or the exact location of the incident, which it said was under investigation.
The Taliban, who usually claim their infiltrators carry out such attacks, were not immediately available for comment.
