French police arrested two Algerians suspected of being linked to al Qaeda on Thursday, a judicial source said, Reuters reported.
The two brothers, who are suspected of being close to the Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) network, were arrested by counter-terrorism units in the southeastern town of Vienne, the source said.
AQIM, al Qaeda's north African wing, has claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing at the French embassy in Mauritania that wounded three people in August.
