The A/H1N1 flu death toll in Slovenia rose to eight on Wednesday as a 61-year-old man without previous chronic conditions died from the disease at the Golnik lung clinic, Xinhua reported.
The man, who had not been vaccinated against A/H1N1 flu, was brought to the hospital ten days ago and was kept alive by a lung machine, according to a report of the Slovenian news agency STA.
The number of people infected with A/H1N1 flu has been rising steadily and dozens of patients with serious conditions are currently hospitalized across Slovenia.
