The comeback sensation is perfect: Michael Shumacher is returning with Mercedes to Grand Prix Formula 1 competition, Bild daily newspaper reported online Tuesday evening, dpa reported.
Schumacher will drive his first race in the Silver Arrow on March 14 at season's opening in Bahrain, the newspaper reported. The racer had stepped down at the end of 2006 after 250 international races.
His expected comeback last summer was delayed for health reasons.
