At least three people died Tuesday when a bus carrying a group of French schoolchildren and their teachers overturned in central Italy near Massa Carrara, Tuscany.
The victims included a 13-year-old boy, a driver and one of the teachers, according to the ANSA news agency.
Four people who were seriously injured in the crash were taken to a hospital in Massa Carrara, DPA reported.
The bus, which was carrying 57 passengers, most of them students from a Bordeaux school, was heading back to France from Florence when the accident happened near an off-ramp of the A12 motorway, according to ANSA.
It was not immediately clear what caused the vehicle to capsize.
