The Campos Meta Formula One has been re-named HRT- F1 (Hispania Racing F1) less than two weeks before the start of the 2010 season, DPA reported.
The moves comes after Campos was taken over by Jose Ramon Carabante but team principal Colin Kolles stated Wednesday adding that the Spanish team would still take its place on the starting grid for the opening race of the season in Bahrain on March 14.
"The new team name signifies a new birth for our Formula 1 ambitions and highlights the incredible effort that is going on behind the scenes to ensure we make a successful debut in Bahrain on 14 March," Kolles said.
"While we are a new team in the paddock, we will be very proud to stand alongside such legendary names as Ferrari, McLaren, Williams and Lotus, as we hope to build our own reputation in the coming years."
So far only Bruno Senna has been named as a driver for the upcoming season while the team's car is now scheduled for its launch on Thursday.
