Arsenal striker Robin van Persie will be out of action until mid-October because of injury, dpa reported.
The Netherlands forward injured his ankle in the match against Blackburn Rovers on August 28.
Arsenal had hoped he would return much sooner but revealed on Tuesday that the injury was more serious than first thought.
