Two people were killed and at least 15 injured in an explosion in a residential area of the Belgian capital Brussels late Saturday, police said.
One of the injured was in a critical condition, dpa reported.
The blast, believed to have been caused by a gas leak, occurred in the eastern municipality of Schaerbeek. Three apartments were gutted.
Rescue workers spent the night looking for survivors.
