Barcelona's Argentine forward Lionel Messi was on Monday named winner of the FIFA World Player award for a record-breaking fourth successive year, dpa reported.
Second place went to Messi's Barcelona teammate Andres Iniesta - who helped Spain to triumph at Euro 2012 - and third place to Cristiano Ronaldo, who guided Real Madrid to the Spanish league title and Portugal to the semi-finals at Euro 2012.
