France requests UN Security Council meeting on Mali

The UN Security Council will meet Monday at the request of France on the situation in Mali, reports said.

France's military engagement in Mali as well as possible further steps that could be taken to stabilize the country are to be the subjects of the meeting, DPA reported with reference to French broadcaster RFI.
