Firefighters put out a fire at a plastic factory in this capital city of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Thursday, finding no casualties, Xinhua reported.
The fire erupted at about 2 p.m., engulfing part of the Yangguang Dazhong Plastic Co. Ltd. at Changzhi Road.
An initial investigation showed that electric welding sparks triggered fire on a piece of benzene board made of plastic scraps, clothes, wood and other materials.
Investigators were evaluating the economic loss in the accident.
