Loud blast heard near Asia meeting in Phuket: witnesses

A loud blast was heard near the venue of a major Asia security meeting in the Thai resort of Phuket on Thursday, but the cause was not immediately clear, Reuters reported.

Reuters reporters could hear the blast from a luxury hotel complex where the meeting was taking place. Among the participants at the gathering was U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
